After living a nerve breaking experience with her son and his severe allergic reaction to his 1st birthday cake, Dali took it as a challenge to go deeper in knowledge and take cake decorating seriously in order to make her son's cakes safe to eat and cool to look.
Just months after celebrating her son's 2nd birthday with a cake of her own, Dali's "Godzilla Cake" placed as a top five finalist between thousands of contestants in the US for the "National Creative Cake Contest" from a well known magazine, in 2009.
After that, more prizes and national awards followed and now she is beyond the basics. She has had advanced training with a list of great chefs as Toba Garret, Anne Heap, and more.
Dali not only makes amazing cakes and sweets that are just as delicious as unique, but also she teaches cake decorating and sweet confections in four locations in CT, receiving several awards for her dedication and counting more than 1200 students until this moment.
Dali's enthusiasm goes back to share with the community. She actually is an active "Sugar Angel" for the nonprofit organization "Icing Smiles", where she provides lots of smiles and happy memories with dream cakes and custom cookies that she makes for kids with critical illnesses and their families.
